I followed up my Bachelors degree with a fourth year, called an "Honours year" in the South African academic system.
I spent the first half of the year taking multiple short elective courses and the second half writing a small thesis (25k words). I also tutored the 3rd year students in Algorithms, Networking and CPU architecture.
